The Lumos Archery System was commissioned by Easton Sports to create a next generation archery tool for both training and fun! The system would use a projector to project targets or arcade objects onto the bale for archers to shoot at. Archers could customize targets and keep track of score, or they could enable the arcade mode and compete with each other in fun games.
The system would recognize where arrows landed when they hit the bale, and then translate it into gameplay.
Using a combination of camera technology and the Unity game engine, we created arcade games that are projected onto a target bale and interact seamlessly with arrows shot onto the target.

Results: The system was deployed at multiple ranges in southern California and has made headlines in the Archery world - gamifying the sport.
